"So, what do you want to do with your life?"

Roadtrip Nation started back in 2001, when three college buddies realized they had no clue how to answer that question. So they bought an old beat-up RV, painted it green, and started cruising around the country looking for answers.

The three guys interviewed a bunch of people who found amazing careers doing what they love—everyone from a Supreme Court justice to a Saturday Night Live director. When they got back home, the guys turned those interviews into a documentary, which turned into a book, which turned into the TV show Roadtrip Nation.

Every episode of Roadtrip Nation is packed with inspiring stories from people who created their own path to their dream job. These people have very different interests, but they all have one thing in common: They’ve figured out that doing something you love is the key to finding a great career.

RTN was back on the road in a green RV and made stops at high schools in Redding, Santa Maria and Riverside. Each stop took place during the high school’s lunch period. Representatives from both campaigns spoke with students about CTE course options in high school, multiple career options available after high school and programs available at community colleges in California. Local radio stations and community colleges also came out for these very successful outreach events.
